comparing confuicius and gandhi

This essay will be comparing on Confucius of ancient china and Gandhi of India. Even though they lived in different time periods and different places they are still very similar. So that is what our essay will be written on.
Confucius was dedicated to teaching. All of his students were very successful. This proves he was a great teacher. Gandhi was very dedicated to his community. He did a 27 day march to the sea. They were both dedicated for what they did. They both believed in a good community. And those are the similarities between Gandhi and Confucius.
There are many differences. Confucius was a teacher, politician, philosopher, and editor. Confucius was very focused on teaching. His students were very successful in life. He cared deeply for the family. He believed that everyone in the family is equal except for the parents. He thought that the government should rule like a good parent would rule. He was also religious but he was mostly focused on teaching.
Gandhi on the other was very religious. He fasted for 21 days to bring a community together. He created the protest march. After being told to get off the bus in South Africa, he began to make speeches against racism. Many people began to resent him after that. Gandhi was thrown in jail many times for his speeches, protest marches, and many other things.
So there are a lot of differences and a lot of similarities between Confucius and Gandhi. Today many people admire Gandhi and Confucius for what they did. Confucianism is the main belief in china. though many more people know Confucius, they are both very famous and very good.
